Charles’ Role in Building Provincial Archives of Manitoba Conservation Laboratory

This letter describes Charles’ instrumental role in the development of the Manitoba Conservation laboratory which was to be tasked with conserving the Hudson’s Bay archival material which dates back to the 1600’s. Survey work completed by Charles’ team indicated that there were over 1,000 years of labour required to archive and conserve the entire body of Hudson’s Bay documents.
