Oyster River Estuary Letter to Redel, BC Director of Lands

One of Charles’s first efforts to avert long term damage by a development at the mouth of the Oyster River occurred while he was working in Moncton New Brunswick in document conservation for the Federal Government. The letter shows a focus of Charles’ strategy of understanding the regulatory framework in which developments were approved and licensed, of seeking access to technical, environmental and engineering reports and of holding governments accountable. The second pdf below highlights Charles strategy of publishing letters to ministers as Letters to the Editor in the local press.
