Contents of a letter written by Charles.
“Armageddon: There is a reference to this in Revelations. No body knows how to deal with the Book of Revelation, or the Revelation of or to St. John.
The author of the tape goes to great lengths to tell us when this battle between the good and evil forces is to take place. People have been attempting this for literally thousands of years and they always come up wrong. When September of this year has come and gone you will find that we are still alive and hoping.
Some people feel that the bomb has already been dropped in the form of chemicals that we have released into the atmosphere, the seas and into the streams, the threat to the ozone layer, the greenhouse effect, the disappearance of the rain forests, the disappearance of animal and plant species. I suggest that we stop attempting to pick out dates for the ending, and instead do our best to stop the exploitation of the earth and its degradation. Let’s spend our time in exercises of social justice and common charity. We want all people to live not just to survive, to live with joy and celebration and sharing. This requires wisdom. The sources of wisdom are the earth and our religious traditions.”
