Appointment As Chief Conservator for the Manitoba Archives

On June 24, 1980 Charles Brandt was hired as Chief Conservator to design and build a restoration laboratory capable of restoring the entire donated Hudson Bay Company documents as well as the Provinces other cultural documents and artwork. During this period Charles Brandt continued his practices as a hermit priest living on the 14th floor of a downtown Winnipeg highrise.
