Oyster River funding was appreciated

As part of Charles lobbying strategy he always made the effort to acknowledge the receipt of funding that was critical to the lobbying efforts of whichever group he was affiliated with.

Another key strategy that was developing with the advice of Chris Hilliar was the joining of community groups with industry such as logging companies and government ministries to form multistakeholder groups which would jointly seek critical funding and jointly commission scientific studies to assess disturbances to the natural environment and recommend solutions that would address each parties interests. Blended with a non-confrontational equanimous fact finding tone to the meetings, it was a successful formula for much of Charles lobbying efforts.
