Tsolum poison by Father Charles A.E. Brandt

Another strategy Charles would use would be to repost a letter sent to a government official in the newspaper. Over time this became an increasingly used lobbying strategy by Charles. On rare occasions it resulted in the recipient responding directly in the newspaper. The tone of Charles’ lobbying letters increasingly reflect a calm viewpoint that is grounded in science and fact, devoid of disparagement of others yet remains firm in its resolve to seek answers and prompt a response. In this letter Charles seeks information and clarification of deliverable dates. The responses of Minister Anne Edwards, Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources as well as a response from Moe Sihota Minister of the Environment, Lands and Parks for BC are included below.
